ABC Automated Dosing System
ABC’s fully automated two-pump dosing system administers chlorine and acid products simultaneously. In one process the system can deliver clean water and promote gut health continuously for the duration of the livestock’s cycle.
To achieve this, the system treats every litre of water that passes through it, with a blend of acids and chlorine products. The system is managed by the ABC team including all chemical handling and full training of farm staff. It is easily adjustable and monitored on-farm to allow for fluctuations in water quality.

ABC’s Automated Dosing System is a fully automated, administering an acid and chlorine product simultaneously, therefore combining both water sanitation and gut health promotion in one process.
The ABC Automated Dosing System was initially developed to help poultry producers to reduce their antibiotic usage. However, as well as supporting poultry flocks, the system can also be used to support other monogastric livestock.
- Fully managed sanitisation and gut-health system in one
- All chemical handling carried out by ABC
- Automated & adjustable e.g. to accommodate any fluctuations or changes with the incoming water supply
- Full training to enable on farm monitoring
- Installation, maintenance and ongoing support
- Monitoring of the system to maximise and measure results
The system is designed to be used continuously for the duration of a livestock cycle to enable a constant supply of clean water, as well as promoting good gut health.
The organic acids administered by the system ‘feed’ the gut and combined with the chlorine, makes sure there is both clean water and optimal support for bird performance.
Chlorine is well known as a sanitiser and the effectiveness of the chemical increases at a lower pH. By lowering the pH of the water with the acid blend, the chlorine breakdown equilibrium shifts to generate more hypochlorous acid making it more efficient at controlling bacteria levels.
The organic acid blend makes sure that the acids are kept in their dissociated form until they reach the lower gut of the bird. This enables the organic acids to help maintain a low gut pH, which therefore promotes the microflora and makes the environment inhospitable to pathogens.
We’re committed to making sure that ABC systems and products perform and continue to deliver benefits long-term, through our monitoring, testing and support programmes. Our support options include:
- Telephone and onsite support
- Pre-installation survey
- Breakdown cover
- System servicing
- Water sampling and testing
- Onsite training
- Working closely with your vet and other health specialists for health monitoring
- Onsite monitoring that includes testing and checks. The frequency these will depend on your system and animal type
The ABC Automated Dosing System enhances water hygiene within set parameters (pH and ORP) that can be monitored on farm following training by the ABC Team.
By using the system this way, without set dose rates, it is able to accommodate any fluctuations or changes with the incoming water supply, which is particularly important if using a borehole.
FarmWater
ABC are suppliers of FarmWater systems, that provides high-end chlorine dioxide injection units for the farming industry, delivering the latest in chlorine dioxide-based water technology to clients to help them achieve healthier animals, better performance and positioning them at the forefront of sustainable farming practices.

The FarmWater system is designed as a ‘whole site solution’ to good water hygiene, with the system ideally being installed as near to the untreated water supply coming on to site as possible. This means the treated water can be used for any number of sheds/houses etc as required (the viability of this will be clarified at the site survey stage).
Our team will work with you and your wider team, including your vet, to understand the impact of clean water on your animal’s health, to design and build a solution that is specific to you and your needs. This includes a programme of ongoing on-farm support too.
The benefits of the FarmWater system include:
- As a gas in water, carbon dioxide is a complete biocide and will eliminate bacteria, viruses, protozoa and biofilm
- Continually creates carbon dioxide of consistent quality and concentration
- No storage of carbon dioxide required that can result in a deterioration in its quality over time
- Producing the carbon dioxide is not reliant on human mixing or intervention
- Cost effective: Typically the cost per metred cubed of water, is approximately 8-10 pence. As a comparison, hydrogen peroxide equates to around 50 pence per metre cubed
- Dedicated technical engineer to provide pre and post-installation support
- Other uses for chlorine dioxide treated water include cleaning e.g. at turnaround to eliminate dirt/grease
- Comprehensive onsite training
- Ongoing monitoring and support
The FarmWater system can be used continuously – not only for the duration of a livestock cycle – but also to have a constant supply of clean water between cycles, for other uses too.
The FarmWater generators system mix sodium chlorite and hydrochloric acid in a pressurised reactor to produce chlorine dioxide. This is a safe way of producing chlorine dioxide as it is not reliant on human mixing or intervention.
The FarmWater generators mix the two components so accurately that after 20,0000 hours of on farm trials, they consistently use 75% less chemical, than other on the market.

FarmWater’s technical engineer will provide pre and post installation support, as well as overseeing the installation.
The FarmWater team is committed to making sure that once installed, the system delivers benefits long-term, through our monitoring, testing and support programmes. Support includes:
- Initial consultation
- Pre-install survey
- Telephone support
- Breakdown cover
- Annual service
- Water sampling and testing
- Regular site visits following installation
- Work closely with your vet and other health specialists for health monitoring
- Supply of quality chemicals
